The Codex interface consists of the following.
- Menus – Contains commands for performing all functions in Codex.
- Toolbar – Contains buttons for quickly performing common editor functions.
- Breadcrumbs – Displays the path from the root element to the current element.
- Editor – Displays and allows editing of the content of the topic or map.
- Context menu – Contains a menu of common functions, displayed by right-clicking within the editor.
- Toolbox – Contains buttons for quickly performing functions that are otherwise located in the Edit, Insert, and Table menus, but not contained in the Toolbar.
- Element Library – Contains lists of elements that you can insert into a topic or map using drag and drop.
