Topics and maps contain a hierarchical collection of elements. The path from the root element (the topmost element in the topic or map) to the current element (either the selected element or the element that contains the cursor) is displayed immediately above the Editor area. This element path is referred to as breadcrumbs and is similar to breadcrumbs found on web pages.
The breadcrumbs also allow you to select elements. Clicking on an element in the breadcrumbs selects the element. Clicking and holding down the mouse button on an element in the breadcrumbs displays a menu that lets you select any of the element's children.
