Creating documents in Codex is different than creating documents in a word processor. In a word processor, you write one long document. In Codex, a document is more like a web site. To create a document in Codex:
-
Create topics
. Topics are like web pages. Each topic is a self-contained unit of information. Each topic usually contains information describing a single concept, procedure, or system component.
-
Create a map
. A map is like the sitemap of a web site. A map consists of a set of links that point to your topics, and represents the table of contents of your document.
-
Publish your map. To deliver your document to your intended audience, you must convert your map into a presentation format like HTML or PDF.
